Just a day after unveiling their emotional Festa 2022 dinner party video, BTS’s maknae Jungkook has taken to VLIVE to set the record straight — in more than one way.
After taking a shower, the group’s youngest turned on VLIVE to address fans directly and clarify some of the things discussed in the video — including the unhinged home décor that the rest of the members not-so-lightly roasted him for.
Before starting one of his classic karaoke sessions, Jungkook took a minute to explain how exactly he has decorated his own house. ICYMI, during the Festa dinner party, JK’s fellow members made some shocking revelations, sharing that JK has three mattresses in the living room, two more in his bedroom, two more mattresses in a different room, and 20 diffusers. But he’s now saying it’s not like that — or, not quite like that.
“There might be more air purifiers than other places. And maybe more diffusers. I don’t have anywhere to set them all down so I have them on the floor. There might be quite a lot of them. I do have a mattress in the living room. [But the members] exaggerated,” Jungkook explained. “They blew it up. I don’t have that many mattresses. It is not true. I just have one in every room. It’s always nice to lie down whenever you feel like it. But it’s not like way too many.” (Mmm… we could argue that unless his house has two rooms, that’s too many but, hey, to each their own!)
Of course, this is not the only thing JK clarified during the live broadcast. He also took the time to elaborate on the reports that stemmed from the video that claimed BTS was “breaking up and stopping all activities,” as he put it in the video.
“After watching the , it was kinda emotional for me. To be honest, I was a bit worried about our ARMYS but you guys were even more supportive [than I had anticipated] so I turned on the VLIVE to thank you,” the singer said before proclaiming there were some things he wanted to clear up.
“We still have a lot to do as a group. [In the video,] we just got together and talked comfortably about our future plans,” JK explained. “It [just] meant that we were going to have some individual work coming up and definitely not that we weren’t going to perform as BTS anymore… BTS is forever.” RM later echoed the sentiments on Weverse, saying that what they shared in the video was a direct confession to fans, and those who watched the video in full would have avoided misunderstandings.
