When Harry Styles made a surprise appearance as Eros/Starfox during the mid-credits scene of Marvel’s 2021 film Eternals, those who lie in the center of the Harry stan and Marvel stan venn diagram were sent into a frenzy.

Harry’s introduction as an Eternal was delivered with literal fanfare from his sidekick/assistant Pip the Troll, and ever since, fans have been longing to know whether Thanos’ brother, Eros, the Knave of Hearts, would make a return to the MCU. On July 23, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige stealthily confirmed that Harry would indeed don Eros’ cape once more.

While presenting the slate of what’s to come for the Marvel Cinematic Universe at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Kevin Feige caught up with MTV News correspondent Josh Horowitz. “What’s the future of Harry Styles in the MCU?” Josh asked without beating around the bush. “Are we gonna learn more soon?”

“Yes, the adventures of Eros and Pip is something that is very exciting to us,” Kevin responded with a smile. There’s no confirmation yet as to when exactly we’ll be seeing more of the adventures of Eros and Pip, but it’s exciting to know that Harry’s continuously expanding acting résumé will soon include more superhero screen time.

As announced during the company’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 this past weekend, Marvel Studios is giving us more than enough content to devour while we wait for Harry’s comeback to the MCU. Kevin Feige shared brand new details about the MCU’s forthcoming Phase 5, teased releases even beyond Phase 5, revealed exclusive footage and huge news about upcoming release dates, and dropped trailers — including the trailer for one of the most highly anticipated sequels of the year, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Check out every Marvel reveal from SDCC 2022 below.

Welcome to the Multiverse Saga

One of the biggest reveals from SDCC was the title of the MCU’s next saga. “The Infinity Saga” was the name of the first 23 films in the MCU from Phase One to Phase Three, which centered around the Infinity Stones and Thanos’ pursuit of each stone. This next chapter of stories, from Phase 4 to Phase Six, will be called “The Multiverse Saga.” As shared at SDCC, Phase Four will end with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever this fall, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will commence Phase Five, and Fantastic Four will kick off Phase Six. According to Kevin Feige, Phase Four’s main goal was “resetting the MCU and meeting all these new characters” post-Avengers: Endgame. And now that we’re all acquainted? It’s time for the fun to really begin.
