Chocolate Apple Slices – My Fussy Eater

Chocolate Apple Slices. A great alternative to those big chocolate or toffee apples that kids love but never seem to eat more than one bite of!

The supermarkets are full of chocolate and toffee apples at the moment. They’re very appealing to kids but often they will beg you to buy one, take a couple of bites and then throw the rest away.

These Apple Slices are a great alternative. Smaller, easier to eat and much less food waste. They’re also simple and cheap to make yourself at home.

You just need three ingredients; apples, chocolate and sprinkles. And some lollipop sticks aswwell.

Cut the apples into three thick slices. With the end slices, chop off the round end as you need them to lie flat.

Melt the chocolate either in the microwave or in a bowl over a pan of boiling water on the hob.

I’ve used milk chocolate but dark or white chocolate will work just as well too.

Cut a small slit in the bottom of the apple slices and then insert a lollipop stick in. Push it in carefully as you don’t want to break the apple slice.

Now it’s time to add the chocolate. I use a small spoon to spread the chocolate onto one side. You can also coat both sides in chocolate if you prefer.

Place the apple slices on a plate and add some sprinkles. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until the chocolate has hardened.

Then they’re ready to enjoy! So delicious and really fun for kids!
