Chole Chaat Board – Honey, Whats Cooking

Delicious and festive Chole Chaat Board is prepared with chole and topped with onions, tomatoes, chilies, chutneys, sev, cilantro, pomegranate, and chat masala.

Chole Chaat Board

My Chole Chaat Board is inspired by the Butter Board trend. The butter board is essentially soft butter that’s spread on a cutting board and topped with veggies, fruits, spices, or pretty much anything you want.

Quite honestly, none of the non-Indian butter boards appealed to me until I saw the Pav Bhaji Butter Board. I mean, I just love Pav Bhaji like there is no tomorrow, it is my favorite Indian street food. So unless it’s the Pav Bhaji Butter Board, I’m not really into the actual “butter” trend.

What is the Chole Chaat Board?

So what exactly is the Chole Chaat Board? It’s just like the butter board, but instead of butter, I used Punjabi Chole. By now, I hope you guys have tried my authentic and delicious Punjabi Chole.

Top off the chole with all the chaat ingredients – red onions, tomatoes, green chilies, green chutney, tamarind chutney, sev, cilantro, pomegranate, and chat masala.

Then serve your Chole Chaat Board with naan or mini buns. You can also serve the board with chips and crackers. This board makes a delicious appetizer for a large group and especially for Diwali.

Ingredients

  • Cilantro Chutney – sharing my recipe for green chutney.
  • Tamarind Chutney – I just use store-bought.
  • Red Onions – chopped.
