Dove Cameron has a brand new look. The newly named Savage x Fenty Lounge ambassador revealed her blunt bangs to Instagram followers on Saturday, September 3.
Posing for a series of selfies, Dove made the grand hair reveal. In the photos, her dark hair was pulled back into a low ponytail, and she paired the style with bangs that hit above her eyebrows. There’s no word on whether the bangs are temporary clip-ins or a permanent change, but we’re here for the look!
The star wore the blunt fringe with a bold red lip and a smoky eye wing. She looked cozy in an oversized black robe, captioning the photos with, “We can talk about it in the morning.”
It’s unclear whether the change in hair is tied to something Dove is working on, but her Instagram Story did contain a look at a computer screen with music editing software and headphones. An additional Story photo showed that she later swapped out her cozy robe for a white top.

Celebrity hairstylist Jacob Rozenberg was responsible for Dove’s hair, sharing photos of the star with the caption, “How do we feel about bangs?” He also tagged MUA Kale Teter as the beauty mastermind behind Dove’s choice of lipstick.
Dove’s bangs caught the attention of social media, with fans tweeting, “bangs era i see” and “today dove cameron invented bangs.” Another fan celebrated the singer’s recent choices in glam, writing, “listen i don’t know if the bangs are real HOWEVER i think i can get used to this “i’ll do whatever the hell i want” trend first the bleached eyebrows now this GO OFF QUEEN.”

The results were definitely impressive, but the eyebrows didn’t stick around long, as Dove was back to a darker color for the recent MTV VMAs.
