Florence Pugh Had Another Sheer Valentino Moment at PFW

Florence Pugh is a master of press moments. Not for her the week-long publicity circuit. She’s in and out of Venice Film Festival, or in this case Paris Fashion Week, quick as a flash. But, boy, does she make an impact.

In the French capital for one night only, Florence attended the Valentino spring/summer 2023 show and after-party, with just two major looks in her carry-on. For the presentation, which saw her rub shoulders with Zendaya and Dove Cameron, Florence wore a flirtatious pink minidress and white cape with the brand’s monster platforms in the same Tippex shade.

It was her take on ’60s chic, avec that signature spunky Florence Pugh styling. (This is a woman who would rather pose with her fingers up her nose than smolder for the camera, but she likes to remind us she can do both.)

Dinner saw her dial things up a notch and model glittering sheer coords in keeping with Pierpaolo Piccioli’s new house mood, which zeroes in on fashion for all skin tones and individualities. Her crop top and maxi skirt set looked sophisticated yet sexy and had shades of the sheer Valentino dress she wore to the brand’s couture show in Rome this summer.

When Florence picked said pink gown, she knew there would be comments about the way she – or specifically her visible breasts – looked, but she wore it anyway. “It has always been my mission in this industry to say ‘f*ck it and f*ck that’ whenever anyone expects my body to morph into an opinion of what’s hot or sexually attractive,” she said in an Instagram essay calling out body shamers.
