J-Hope Partied With the Whole Korean Music Industry at His Album Party

Happy J-Hope Day! While fans are out enjoying J-Hope’s new solo album Jack in the Box, the BTS dance leader kicked off the celebrations early with a pre-album release party. And it looks as though the entire Korean music industry showed up.

On July 14, J-Hope, whose real name is Jung Hoseok, had a pre-release listening party a day ahead of the release of his debut album. “One of the reasons I wanted to have this listening party is because I wanted to show you what kind of music your friend J-Hope makes, and what kind of vibe he has,” J-Hope said in a speech at the party.

The star-studded event included six out of seven BTS members (Suga was home sick, J-Hope shared on Vlive), HYBE chairman Bang PD, and their longtime producer Pdogg, as well as many big-name stars from across the music and film industries in Korea — including Taeyang from Big Bang, DPR Live, Uhm Jung Hwa, Heize, ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo, Jessi, HyunA and Dawn, Sunmi, Tiger JK, Bibi, and Wooga squad members Park Hyungsik, Peakboy, and Park Seojoon.
