JoJo Siwa Heads to Summer Camp in “HSMTMTS” S3

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series Season 3 trailer just dropped, and there’s a few familiar faces showing up to summer camp — including Nickelodeon star JoJo Siwa.

In the new trailer for HSMTMTS, the new generation of Wildcats heads to Camp Shallow Lake for two weeks, gearing up to put on the first camp production of Frozen. (Disney loves a meta moment!) The majority of the main cast — Joshua Bassett, Olivia Rodrigo, Sofia Wylie, Matt Cornett, Julia Lester, Dara Reneé, and Frankie Rodriguez — are all spotted in the new footage. Device-free and all together again, the Wildcats are in for a very interesting summer.

The trailer shows peeks of EJ and Gina’s new romance, Nini having a vulnerable moment with Miss Jenn, Carlos and Ricky bunking together, and EJ stepping into the role of musical director, which might make things a bit complicated for those close to him vying for a leading role. (“One could say the stakes have never been higher,” says Ashlyn near the end.)

JoJo Siwa shows up about halfway through the trailer with a cheery “What’s up, Wildcats?” She’s seen holding hands with a counselor named Maddox, a pretty counselor who collected the campers’ phones at the start of the trailer. According to Entertainment Weekly, JoJo will play a character named Madison, a Camp Shallow Lake alum.

This season will feature a handful of special guest stars alongside JoJo Siwa, including Disney Channel alum Jason Earles as Dewey Wood, the camp’s director, High School Musical OG Corbin Bleu as himself, Modern Family‘s Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Marvin, a family friend of Nini’s, and Zombies‘ Meg Donnelly as Val, a camp counselor and college student who’s the choreographer for the camp’s production of Frozen.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series Season 3 premieres on Disney+ on July 27, so get your countdowns ready. What time is it? Summertime!
