While it seems like Kendall Jenner has been walking major runway shows forever, it hasn’t been that long. The model and reality star walked her first important show in 2014 when she joined the lineup at Marc Jacobs. It wasn’t just Kendall’s first big model moment — she also freed the nipple during the show in a sheer top, and now 2022 Kendall is looking back on that moment.
Kendall is the latest celeb to participate in Vogue‘s “Life in Looks” series, where style icons go through some of their most major outfits of all time. Kendall’s 2014 runway moment was included in the roundup and she looks back at it with fondness. “This was my first high-fashion show, and it was for Marc Jacobs,” she recounted. “I actually could not believe I was there. I was pretty chill, even though my boobies were out.”
According to Kendall, there was some conversation about the sheer look prior to hitting the runway, but she was open to the look and to working with the designer’s vision. “I remember getting a call from my agent saying that Marc and Katie [Grand] wanted to put me in this kind of sheer top, and I was like, ‘I’m game. I don’t mind. I’m all good with the nipple,'” she shared. “It didn’t make me any more nervous. I genuinely was just like, ‘Dope, whatever they want, it’s their vision, let’s do it.’ So I was completely comfortable.”
