If you’ve ever struggled to find the right products to treat stubborn acne breakouts (that won’t dry your skin out), Madison Pettis can relate. This is why the He’s All That actress is happily sharing with us her secret skin care weapon for healing breakouts.

The Bubble skin care ambassador spilled all the details in a recent zoom interview with Teen Vogue discussing the brand’s new acne-fighting product, the Super Clear Acne Treating Serum, and broke down her skin care routine, along with her favorite application tips.

“I had a lot of trial and error when I was a teenager because I was trying to experiment with a hundred different products to see what was going to help me get perfect skin,” Madison tells Teen Vogue. “I realized it’s quality over quantity. A simple, more effective skin care routine is better for me. I have super-sensitive combination skin. So it’s all about sensitive skin care products for me — being gentle with stuff that works.”

That is what led the actor to partner with Bubble. “I really was a big fan of Bubble because they create such simple products with clean ingredients.” The same rings true for the new serum. Crafted with skin-loving natural ingredients like colloidal oatmeal, squalene, and neem seed oil, Madison says this serum has worked amazingly for her so far.

Salicylic acid is my go-to ingredient for breakouts, but I love this serum because it has so many other ingredients in it like willow bark extract and other stuff that helps prevent any irritation or major drying out of the skin,” she explains.

The brand also notes that the daily acne-treating serum works to stop acne before it starts. “You want to target the breakouts, but not overdry your skin because then it just produces more oil, and it’s like a vicious cycle, causing you to break out more. I also love that the serum dries quickly because I’ve used a lot of salicylic acid spot treatments that take forever to dry, and it’ll rub right off onto my pillowcase while sleeping.”
