Music: IYANU (Wonderful) – Wole Awolola Feat. Snatcha

 

 

Multi award winning UK based gospel sensation Wole Awolola combines with the amazing Snatcha to release a brand new afrobeat song titled IYANU (WONDERFUL)

IYANU is Wole’s first ever Afrobeats track. It features the incomparable Christian rapper, Snatcha, and was produced by the top notch Nigerian producer, Femi Olajide aka Mr Eff.

This song is actually a contemporary remake of an old Yourba chorus Wole learned to sing with his family and in church growing up as a young lad. With a couple of verses added to it, Snatcher bringing in a well-rhymed bridge, and Mr Eff craftily building the perfect sound for it, it came back to life with verve and vigor!

IYANU is the Yoruba word for Wonderful. The song basically speaks of God’s works as simply full of wonders –Wonderful. Everything that exists in the multiverse –the planets, the inhabitants, the laws of nature, the systematic synchrony of the cycle of life, etc… are all perfectly balanced by the one who created and commissioned them –God!

Wole Awolola is a seasoned worship leader and recording gospel artist. He is also the co-convener of the prestigious African Gospel and Media Awards and a recipient of a few awards himself including GOSPELTOUCH UK Artist the year 2018. He is notable (and as such in high demand) for his unique ability to blend both traditional and modern-day worship songs to create the atmosphere of worship.

His latest single ‘I Need You Now’ has been widely praised for its sound doctrine and aiding Christians in their prayer and relationship with God.The follow-up single scheduled to be released in June 2020 in celebration of his birthday, is a song of praise, worship and admiration of God right in the middle of the Corona virus pandemic.

He has featured alongside and shared stage with other international gospel artists such as Todd Dulaney, Jonathan Nelson, Noel Robinson, Sonnie Badu and many more. His annual worship event, Night of Worship, now in its fourth year, has brought together Christian worshippers from different cultural backgrounds in joyful celebration and solemn worship of God.
