Team Edward vs. Team Jacob has been reignited! The Twilight resurgence hasn’t slowed down, and now star Taylor Lautner’s future wife Taylor Dome is getting involved in the great love triangle of our times — and her initial allegiance was to Team Edward.
Tay joined in the “Show your childhood crush, then the person you ended up with” trend on Instagram, running through a few shots of Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen before abruptly cutting to a pic of Taylor outside his dressing room at The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. LOL! Hey, we get it — there was nothing like Edward’s passionate, brooding nature and tortured romance with Bella.
Taylor’s Edward fandom isn’t a secret; the pair have joked about it before. Earlier this year, Taylor told Kelly Clarkson that Tay was a card-carrying member of Team Edward during Twilight’s peak years. “I’m allowing her to make that mistake,” he joked. “It’s in her past. So, she’s good now. But she was not Team Jacob, unfortunately. Still love her!”

Thankfully Tay has come around as a member of Team Jacob, despite her childhood crush on the mysterious sparkling vampire. Taylor and Taylor got engaged in late 2021 after dating for several years. As People noted, they met via an introduction from Taylor Lautner’s sister Makena Moore, during his hiatus from acting, and started dating in 2018. “I wanted to take a step back and enjoy life and spend some time with my family and friends,” he told the outlet. “And I met my fiancée out of it, so it all worked out.”
While they may not be tying the knot at the Cullen mansion or battling the Volturi, Tay Dome and Taylor Lautner, future wife and husband, seem like they’re headed for a happily ever after.
